Readwritethink is a website providing web tools published by the National Council for Teahers of English (NCTE) and sponsored by the International Reading Association (IRA) and Thinkfinity Verizion Foundation. Focused on K-12 Literacy in the 21st Century, this web tool is a "one stop" resoure for educators and parents alike. Teachers can find lesson plans, student interactives, podcasts, and calendar activities. For professional development there are strategy guides, expert advisors, web seminars and online professional development. Teachers can also network with other teachers, contribute to the site, and receive RSS. Best of all Readwritethink isn't just for teachers. Parents can access activities, projects, games, tips, how-tos, and more. This web tool is user friendly, free (except for some profession development features) and requires a minimum of additional system requirements.

Does this web tool contribute to a safe learning environment? Are students protected from exposure of their personal information and inappropriate material? 5 Stars



Use of the website does not require any log in or identification of any sort. There are not any advertisements from companies or organizations other than the International Reading Association, The National Council of Teachers of English and Verizon/ Thinkfinity. Without exposing student's personal information or objecting them to questionable advertisements, this website fosters a safe learning environment.
